The logistics and supply chain industry is undergoing a transformation. Digitization of documentation, robots and automation, alternative fuels, ‘Internet of Things’ and Blockchain are all ‘real’ innovations which are, to a lesser or greater degree, already impacting on business processes and market structures.

However, there are even more ambitious plans being developed. Although some may sound fanciful to many long term industry observers, many are very well-backed and must be taken seriously for this reason, if no other.
