In a presentation to the 15th ICT International Regulatory Virtual Workshop, organised by the Colombian Government, Professor John Manners-Bell spoke about the challenges which face the cross-border ecommerce sector, not least due to the Covid crisis. He outlined a number of key policy initiatives which regulators and governments around the world must implement to facilitate growth in this important sector and the economic benefits which would accrue.
In this short presentation I’m going to be talking to you about global opportunities and challenges for medium, small and micro sized enterprises (MSMEs) especially those in emerging markets. I’m also going to be dealing with public policy, and the role of governments in facilitating the growth of this very important sector.
